Liahann R. Bannerman is Director of the Volunteer Center at United Way of King County (UWKC), which mobilizes volunteers and strengthens the volunteer system in King County. Bannerman received a BA in Psychology from Harvard University and an MBA from Seattle Pacific University. Before joining UWKC, she worked for an advertising firm, a music company and a local human services agency. Bannerman is a 1998 graduate of Leadership Tomorrow, served on the Curriculum Committee for 10 years and currently sits on their board. She serves on the board of Executive Service Corps, is a member of United Way of America’s Volunteer Engagement Council, HandsOn Network’s New Membership Advisory Committee, the Partnership Council of Washington State Mentors, Minority Executive Directors Coalition, Volunteer Centers of Washington, People of Color in Philanthropy, and volunteers for a variety of other community-based organizations and initiatives in the area.
