Michaela Rýgrová (Míša) loves connecting people, ideas and resources in ways that spark meaningful action. She is a community curator, sustainability advocate and strategic thinker working across volunteering, culture and innovation. Based in Prague, Rýgrová collaborates internationally to design new ways people engage with purpose — from large-scale volunteer ecosystems to local, human-centered initiatives.
Active in the Burning Man culture since 2010, Rýgrová transformed her passion for volunteering into a professional mission. She has served on the Burning Man Meta Regional Committee and Volunteer Leadership Council, and became the first Burning Man Fellow to work closely with the Global Network — conducting research across the European region (including the Middle East and Russia) to strengthen innovation, connection and leadership within communities.
Rýgrová's work bridges civic participation and sustainability. She developed curricula on sustainable production at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and launched a new course on Volunteering in Social Work at Charles University in Prague in 2026.
Driven by a belief that participation shapes societies, Rýgrová founded GOODLABS, an umbrella platform exploring how technology can make volunteering more dynamic, accessible and connected — without losing its deeply human essence.
As a consultant and educator in volunteering and participation, she supports corporates, municipalities and “for-purpose” organizations in understanding and activating their collective capacity for impact. Rýgrová believes volunteering is not just about giving time — it is about shaping the kind of world we want to live in. As she often says: Be the good you want to see in the world.
