Sean O'Connell has been the National Communications Manager for Surf Life Saving Australia since 2003. In this role, he was actively involved in the training program which saw a group of dedicated young Muslim Australians go on to become the country's newest surf lifesavers. Sean is also an active volunteer surf lifesaver, patrolling at Bondi Beach during spring and summer.
