Daniela Papi is the Executive Director of the educational  non-profit "Protect the Earth. Protect Yourself" and founder/CEO of  PEPY Tours, with operations in rural Cambodia. PEPY has won the CIMPA  Humanitarian Travel Award as well as the University of Notre Dame's  Social Venture Business Plan competition. Papi is active in the growing  voluntourism movement, speaking regularly on the subject. In 2006m she was  invited to speak at the UNEP Sports and the Environment meeting in Geneva, Switzerland,  and spent 10 days as a guest lecturer on Peace Boat. Papi has written in the  trade and online press about the challenges of grassroots development and the  issues facing operators looking to offer tours in this growing market. After a  childhood in Briarcliff Manor,   New York, Papi graduated from the  University of Notre Dame with a degree in Economics and went on to work for a  management consulting firm in Chicago.  She has since spent the next five years in Asia  working in education and voluntourism. She currently manages PEPY from her Cambodia office  in Phnom Penh  and is a finalist for the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards.
