Trudy Seita is a nationally-known trainer, keynoter, meeting facilitator and consultant with over 20 years experience. Her expertise includes all components of volunteer program management, leadership skills, and strategic planning. She has written three books on the subject of volunteer program management, including Change: Meet It & Greet It, several training courses, and published journal articles.
Her long list of clients includes: National 4-H Council, US Armed Forces Community Service Programs, America 's Promise, American Symphony Orchestra League, Points of Light Foundation, NY Office on Aging, Anchorage United Way, State Farm Insurance, and Century Aluminum-WV.
Trudy holds a Masters Degree in Counseling and recently worked in the WV Governor's Cabinet on Children and Families as the State Coordinator for West Virginia 's Promise, and Program Director for 16 AmeriCorps Promise Fellows. Her past experience includes medical social work, 4-H youth programs, March of Dimes, and city government. She was instrumental in forming a Volunteer Center in her community, developing a Center for Community Service Agencies and a state affiliate of the Association for Volunteer Administration. She was a founding member and former chair of the WV Commission for National and Community Service and has chaired several WV Conferences on Volunteerism. She currently serves on the board of directors of the international Association for Volunteer Administration and continues to be involved in numerous other community, state, and national volunteer initiatives.
